Five years ago, this special couple began volunteering at the London Food Bank and have been a great addition to our team. Volunteering is in their bones and it shows in their enthusiasm and professionalism. Thank you both.

A former donor, Alison now volunteers at the London Food Bank in the front area, sorting food and interacting with clients. She has seen the effects of Canada’s economic dislocation and she is committed to helping. Thanks Alison.

A recent volunteer with the London Food Bank, Liz is amazed at the amount of others like her seeking to make a difference. She possesses a rich past of leadership in numerous community organizations and now brings those talents to the food bank.

Bruce is a retired French elementary teacher and has been with the London Food Bank since 2020. He’s one of those people who, when he spots a problem or a challenge, just sets out to fix it. We’re lucky to have him.

Suze has helped out at the London Food Bank for over 10 years, helping with clients at the front of the building. She also assists other groups like the Salvation Army and the CNIB. Amazing.

Retirement has provided this great volunteer to to continue giving back to community in ways she has done most of her life. She views helping others as it own reward. Kay helps sort food and prepares hampers to help many London families in need.

Patrick has asked that this post not have a photo in it, but reading these words gives us a good picture of the kind of fine individual he is. He especially enjoys working with new Canadians. His natural kindness makes him the ideal volunteer for the food bank. He represents the volunteer spirit of Canada at its finest.

This former banker is learning all about banking food and she’s been an absolute delight and a pleasure to work with. She understands that demand on the London Food Bank is sure to grow and wishes to play her part in helping us to cope. We’ll all need one another in the days ahead.
