Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in helping out at the food bank. There are a number of areas that you may be interested in becoming involved.

You may wish to get involved with the general operations of the food bank. These activities include sorting donated food and assembling hamper for clients.

You may be interested in working outside, if so we have programs the involve collecting donated fruit and vegetables. One option is a Harvest Mob. A Harvest Mob involves a team of Food Bank volunteers visiting a farm and harvesting donated produce from the field.
We also have a Buy Local, Share Local program that runs from booths at 3 local farmers markets. Donations of fresh produce are collected at these booths from market shopper and venders. There is an ongoing need for volunteers to staff the booths. Our booth at the Western Fair Farmers and Artisans Market operates year round.
For more information about these Fresh food programs please visit our Food Bank: Fresh page.

There are a number of special events that happen in our community that benefit the London Food Bank. Often the organizers of these events request that there be a representative of the London Food Bank present at their event. The type and requirements of these events very but may include assisting with one of our food drives or public outreach activities.

If any of the above areas of involvement are of interest to you please complete the form below to add your name to the email notification list.  Be sure to check the box beside the activity or activities that you may be interested in. After joining our volunteer mailing list you will receive periodic emails from the London Food Bank indicating dates, times, and activities that are available for you to become involved.
